A quick and easy no-added-sugar frozen watermelon lemonade slushie that is naturally sweet, refreshing, and perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon (about 600 grams or 21 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 23 lemons or 120 ml)
  • 2 cups ice cubes (about 480 ml)
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish or blending

Instructions

  1. Cut about 4 cups (600g) of seedless watermelon into cubes, removing any seeds.
  2. Squeeze 1/2 cup (120 ml) of fresh lemon juice from 2-3 lemons, straining out seeds and pulp if desired.
  3. Place the watermelon cubes, lemon juice, and 2 cups (480 ml) of ice cubes into the blender jar.
  4. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and icy. If too thick, add a splash of cold water or coconut water and blend again briefly.
  5. Taste and adjust tartness by adding more lemon juice if needed. For thicker slush, add more ice or frozen watermelon chunks and blend again.
  6. Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for natural sweetness. Fresh lemon juice is preferred over bottled for brightness. Pulse ice first if blender struggles. Avoid overblending to maintain icy texture. Store leftovers in freezer up to 24 hours and re-blend before serving.
