A beautifully layered charcuterie and grazing board perfect for graduation parties and casual gatherings, combining creamy cheeses, savory meats, fresh fruits, nuts, and pickled elements for an impressive yet easy-to-assemble centerpiece.

Ingredients

  • Goat cheese, softened
  • Sharp cheddar, sliced or cubed
  • Brie, whole wheel or wedges (room temperature)
  • Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Soppressata or spicy salami
  • Honey-glazed ham slices (optional)
  • Seedless grapes (red and green)
  • Fresh figs or sliced pears (seasonal; can substitute apples)
  • Dried apricots or cranberries
  • Marcona almonds (salted, lightly toasted)
  • Walnuts or pecans
  • Artisan crackers (e.g., rosemary-infused)
  • Mixed olives (Kalamata and Castelvetrano)
  • Small dill pickles or cornichons
  • Fig jam or honey (for drizzling)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Thyme leaves (fresh)
  • Edible flowers (optional)
  • Baguette slices, toasted lightly
  • Soft breadsticks or grissini

Instructions

  1. Remove all cheeses from the fridge 20 minutes before assembling to soften slightly. Slice cheddar and Brie into manageable pieces. Place goat cheese in a small bowl for spreading.
  2. Fold or roll prosciutto and salami slices into loose ribbons or cones. Place honey-glazed ham slices in a small pile, keeping meats separated from cheeses.
  3. Wash grapes and pat dry. Slice figs or pears thinly and arrange in small clusters. Toast Marcona almonds lightly in a dry skillet for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add olives, pickles, and fig jam or honey into separate small bowls or ramekins.
  5. Place the serving board on a sturdy surface. Position cheeses spaced evenly, then add bowls with pickles and olives as anchor points.
  6. Layer meats next to cheeses, then tuck in fruit clusters and nuts. Scatter crackers and bread slices in remaining spaces. Fill gaps with fresh herb sprigs.
  7. Drizzle honey over goat cheese and scatter edible flowers if using. Adjust any crowded spots for a balanced look.

Notes

Remove cheeses from fridge 20 minutes before serving for best texture. Toast nuts and bread lightly for added crunch and aroma. Use multiple small bowls to keep wet items tidy. Keep board refrigerated until 10 minutes before serving. For gluten-free, substitute crackers and bread with rice crackers or seeded crisps. Reheat bread slices in 350°F oven for 5 minutes if needed.
