This Easy Vampire Blood Orange Halloween Punch is the spooky, delicious centerpiece your Halloween party deserves. Made with real blood orange juice, it comes together in minutes with simple ingredients for a crowd-pleasing drink that looks like actual vampire fuel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups blood orange juice
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup simple syrup
  • 4 cups ginger ale
  • Blood orange slices (for garnish)
  • Pomegranate seeds (for garnish)
  • Ice ring or ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make the ice ring (optional but recommended): The night before, arrange blood orange slices, pomegranate seeds, and a few fresh cranberries in a ring mold. Fill with water and freeze overnight.
  2. Combine the juices: In your large punch bowl, pour in 4 cups of blood orange juice, 2 cups of pomegranate juice, 1 cup of pineapple juice, and ¼ cup of fresh lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Add the sweetener: Pour in ½ cup of simple syrup and stir until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
  4. Chill the base: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours.
  5. Add the fizz: Just before serving, carefully pour in 4 cups of ginger ale. Stir gently.
  6. Add the ice ring: Unmold your ice ring by running warm water over the bottom of the mold for a few seconds. Float it gently in the punch bowl. If using regular ice cubes, add them now.
  7. Garnish and serve: Float extra blood orange slices and pomegranate seeds on top. Place your ladle in the bowl and let guests serve themselves.
  8. For individual servings: If not using a punch bowl, fill glasses with ice, pour the juice mixture about ¾ full, then top with ginger ale and stir. Garnish each glass with a blood orange slice and a few pomegranate seeds.

Notes

Don’t skip the chill step—warm punch with ginger ale tastes flat. Add ginger ale right before serving to keep the fizz. For an alcoholic version, add 2 cups of vodka or 1 cup of silver tequila. For a kid-friendly version, use sparkling water instead of ginger ale. The punch looks most dramatic for the first 30 minutes before the ice ring melts too much.
