These mummy hot dogs are a fun and delicious Halloween snack that comes together in under 20 minutes. Crescent roll dough wraps around juicy hot dogs, baking up flaky and golden, with mustard dot eyes that make everyone smile.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 standard-sized hot dogs
  • 1 can (8 ounces) crescent roll dough
  • Mustard (yellow or Dijon, for eyes)
  • Optional: Cooking spray or melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles along the perforated lines. You’ll have 8 triangles.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice each triangle lengthwise into 3-4 strips, about 1/2 inch wide.
  4. Take one hot dog and wrap a strip of dough around it, leaving small gaps between the wraps to create the mummy look. Overlap the strips slightly at the ends to secure them.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each one.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and flaky, and the hot dog is heated through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes. Dip a toothpick or skewer into mustard and dot two small eyes onto each mummy.
  8. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

Don’t wrap the dough too tight—leave gaps for the hot dog to brown and the dough to get crispy. For extra golden dough, brush with melted butter before baking. You can wrap the hot dogs up to 2 hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
