A perfectly portioned charcuterie board for two, featuring a balanced selection of cheeses, cured meats, fruits, nuts, and accompaniments. Ideal for a no-cook, minimal-cleanup date night that feels special without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Brie or Camembert
  • 3 oz Aged Cheddar
  • 3 oz Manchego or Gouda
  • 2 oz Blue Cheese or Goat Cheese
  • 34 slices Prosciutto
  • 4 oz Salami or Soppressata
  • 3 oz Chorizo or Capicola (optional)
  • 810 Crackers or Crostini
  • 1/2 baguette, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh fruit (red grapes, sliced apple, or figs)
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (apricots, figs, or dates)
  • 1/4 cup nuts (Marcona almonds, candied pecans, or walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup olives (Castelvetrano or Kalamata)
  • 2 tbsp honey or fig jam
  • 2 tbsp cornichons or pickled onions
  • Optional: dark chocolate squares, fresh herbs, edible flowers

Instructions

  1. Take the cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving to bring to room temperature.
  2. Place small bowls for olives, jam, and honey on the board first, spacing them out to create natural sections.
  3. Arrange the cheeses around the board, cutting each differently: slice cheddar into thin triangles, leave brie whole with a wedge cut out, crumble blue cheese into a small pile.
  4. Add the meats: fold prosciutto into loose ribbons or small piles, lay salami slices overlapping in a row.
  5. Fill in with crackers and bread, fanning them out in groups around the board.
  6. Add fruit and nuts: scatter grapes in small clusters, tuck dried apricots between cheeses, sprinkle nuts into empty gaps.
  7. Drizzle honey over brie or goat cheese, garnish with rosemary sprigs, and add cornichons last.
  8. Step back and adjust: fill empty spots with more crackers or nuts, or move items to achieve an abundant but intentional look.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature for best flavor. Keep wet ingredients like olives in separate bowls to avoid soggy crackers. Prep all ingredients before arranging for smooth assembly. Leftover cheese can be stored in wax paper, not plastic wrap.
