A luscious, velvety tropical mango protein smoothie that is quick, easy, and perfect for a wholesome boost any time of day. It combines ripe mango, vanilla protein powder, and creamy coconut milk for a refreshing and satisfying drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (165g) ripe mango, peeled and diced (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla protein powder (plant-based or whey)
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) coconut milk (canned or carton, light optional)
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 1 handful spinach or kale (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 34 ice cubes (if using fresh mango)

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice about 1 cup (165g) of ripe mango and half a banana. Freeze the mango pieces for 30 minutes beforehand if you want a smooth, chilled texture.
  2. Pour 3/4 cup (180ml) coconut milk into your blender. Add one scoop (around 30g) of vanilla protein powder.
  3. Add optional ingredients: a handful of spinach or kale and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds.
  4. Blend on low speed, then increase to high until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup if desired. For a thicker smoothie, add a few ice cubes and pulse until crushed.
  6. Serve immediately in a glass or travel cup. Refrigerate leftovers up to 24 hours and stir well before drinking.

Notes

Use ripe mango for best flavor and texture. Frozen mango can be used to chill the smoothie without watering it down. Blend liquids and protein powder first to avoid clumps. Scrape blender sides mid-blend for smoothness. Mild vanilla protein powder avoids chalky taste. Adjust thickness with frozen fruit or banana. Refrigerate leftovers up to 24 hours and shake before drinking.
