These creamy high-fiber overnight oats with chia and berries are a quick, easy, and satisfying breakfast that takes just 5 minutes to prep. Made with simple ingredients like rolled oats, chia seeds, Greek yogurt, and frozen berries, they keep you full for hours and are perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons (20g) chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice (whole milk, oat milk, or almond milk)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (75g) frozen mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 12 tablespoons (15-30ml) maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In your jar or container, add 1/2 cup rolled oats and 2 tablespoons chia seeds. Stir to distribute evenly.
  2. Pour in 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly for about 30 seconds until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries. Leave some berries whole for pockets of flavor.
  4. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but overnight (8-12 hours) is ideal.
  5. In the morning, stir the oats well. If too thick, add a splash of milk and stir again.
  6. Add toppings like fresh berries, extra maple syrup, or granola. Serve cold or microwave for 30-60 seconds if desired.

Notes

Use rolled oats, not instant or steel-cut. Frozen berries create a natural syrup. Adjust sweetness to taste. Oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and yogurt. For gluten-free, use certified gluten-free oats.
