A quick and easy sweet and salty party board featuring a balanced mix of cheeses, crackers, nuts, dried fruits, and savory elements, perfect for gatherings and entertaining.

Ingredients

  • Creamy brie cheese
  • Aged cheddar cheese
  • Tangy goat cheese
  • Assorted crackers (whole grain, multiseed, gluten-free options)
  • Crostini slices (toasted baguette rounds)
  • Dried apricots
  • Figs
  • Honey (spicy chili honey recommended)
  • Dark chocolate chunks
  • Marinated olives (green and black)
  • Roasted almonds
  • Roasted cashews
  • Prosciutto slices
  • Crunchy pretzels
  • Grapes (red or green)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes until golden but not too hard. Total prep and toast time about 15 minutes.
  2. Slice brie into wedges, crumble or slice cheddar, and form goat cheese into small balls or logs. Arrange cheeses on the board with space for easy picking.
  3. Place dried apricots, figs, and grapes in clusters around the cheeses. Add small bowls with olives and nuts. Fold prosciutto slices gently and tuck them in cozy spots.
  4. Scatter dark chocolate chunks near the sweet areas. Fan out crackers and pretzels on opposite sides to balance colors and textures.
  5. Warm a small jar of honey with a pinch of chili flakes for about 15 seconds in the microwave. Drizzle lightly over nuts or serve with small spoons for guests to add their own.
  6. Garnish the board with fresh rosemary sprigs and lemon wedges for aroma and color. Avoid overcrowding; add extra grapes or nuts if needed.

Notes

Toast crostini carefully to avoid burning. Use a variety of cheeses for texture and flavor contrast. For vegan adaptation, use plant-based cheeses and maple syrup instead of honey. Avoid placing wet fruits directly on crackers to prevent sogginess. Assemble board shortly before serving to keep crackers and crostini crisp. Store leftovers properly and reheat crostini at 300°F for 5 minutes to refresh.
