Healthy Air Fryer Chicken Caesar Wraps

Crispy and juicy chicken Caesar wraps made quickly in the air fryer with a homemade tangy Caesar dressing, perfect for a healthy and delicious meal.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, shaved or grated
  • 4 large whole wheat tortillas
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing (homemade or store-bought)
  • Optional add-ins: cherry tomatoes halved, crispy bacon bits, avocado slices

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch wide strips.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss chicken strips with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let marinate 10-15 minutes if possible.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Arrange chicken strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. While chicken cooks, whisk together ½ cup Caesar dressing. For homemade: combine ⅓ cup Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon anchovy paste, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 minced garlic clove, and 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan.
  6. Rinse and chop romaine lettuce; pat dry.
  7. Lay out tortillas and spread a generous spoonful of Caesar dressing on each.
  8. Add chopped romaine, cooked chicken strips, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over each wrap.
  9. Fold sides over and roll tightly. Lightly brush outside with olive oil.
  10. Place wraps seam-side down in air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  11. Slice in half and serve immediately.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for best crispiness. Dry lettuce well to avoid soggy wraps. Shake air fryer basket halfway through cooking chicken for even browning. Lightly oil the outside of wraps before crisping. Assemble wraps just before serving to keep them crisp. For non-air fryer method, use a grill pan or skillet and cook wraps 2-3 minutes per side with oil.
