A bright, zesty, and bubbly non-alcoholic mojito mocktail featuring fresh mint, lime juice, and sparkling lime water. Perfect for a refreshing and light drink any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lime juice (from 1 large lime)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling lime water or soda
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges for garnish
  • Optional: thin slice of fresh ginger (about 1/4 inch)
  • Optional: mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes to chill it.
  2. Place 10-12 fresh mint leaves into the glass and gently muddle them 8-10 times using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon to release aromatic oils without shredding the leaves.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of freshly squeezed lime juice and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of simple syrup to the glass. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Slowly pour 1 cup (240 ml) of sparkling lime water or soda over the mixture to preserve bubbles.
  5. Stir gently with a spoon or stirrer to blend the ingredients without flattening the sparkling water.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim and a sprig of mint inside the glass. Optionally, add a thin slice of fresh ginger for a subtle spicy twist.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Do not over-muddle the mint to avoid bitterness. Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Adjust sweetness by adding simple syrup slowly to taste. Keep the glass chilled and use large ice cubes to prevent quick dilution. Add sparkling water last to preserve fizz. For a sugar-free version, omit simple syrup or use natural sweeteners like stevia. Prepare lime juice, simple syrup, and muddled mint mix up to 24 hours ahead and add sparkling water and ice just before serving.
