A crisp and refreshing infused water recipe combining fresh cucumber and mint leaves for easy hydration and wellness. Perfect for hot days, family gatherings, and healthy refreshment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large English cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1015 fresh mint leaves, gently bruised
  • 1 quart (4 cups) filtered water, chilled
  • Ice cubes, as needed (optional)
  • 34 thin lemon slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and rinse the cucumber and mint leaves thoroughly under cold water. Pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. Thinly slice the cucumber into rounds about 1/8-inch (3 mm) thick.
  3. Gently bruise the mint leaves with your fingers or a wooden spoon to release their oils without shredding.
  4. Add cucumber slices, bruised mint leaves, and optional lemon slices to a large pitcher.
  5. Pour in 1 quart (4 cups) of chilled filtered water.
  6. Cover the pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally 4-6 hours.
  7. Before serving, stir gently and add ice cubes to glasses or the pitcher for extra chill.
  8. Pour into glasses and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a cucumber slice.

Notes

Infuse for at least 2 hours for best flavor; avoid over-infusing beyond 6 hours to prevent bitterness. Use fresh, vibrant mint leaves and thin cucumber slices for optimal taste. Store infused water covered in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours. Optional lemon slices add a citrus twist. For a stronger mint flavor, gently bruise leaves but avoid shredding to prevent bitterness.
