A quick and easy charcuterie board using simple Trader Joe’s ingredients that looks gourmet and is perfect for casual or polished gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Triple cream Brie (soft, creamy, and mild)
  • Manchego cheese, sliced (nutty and firm)
  • Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar (sharp with a twist)
  • Pre-sliced Iberico ham or prosciutto (rich and melt-in-your-mouth)
  • Spicy soppressata or Genoa salami (adds a kick)
  • Multigrain crackers (crispy flax & oat preferred)
  • Mini baguette or sliced ciabatta bread (toasted lightly)
  • Seedless red grapes (fresh and juicy)
  • Dried apricots or figs (sweet chewiness)
  • Everything but the Bagel seasoning almonds (salty crunch)
  • Honey-roasted peanuts (sweet and crunchy contrast)
  • Fig spread or apricot preserves (for a sweet layer)
  • Whole grain mustard (adds tang and depth)
  • Olives (preferably Castelvetrano for buttery texture)
  • Rosemary or thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish and aroma)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients from fridge and pantry; this takes about 5 minutes.
  2. Slice cheeses into bite-sized wedges or cubes.
  3. Slice baguette into thin rounds and toast lightly in oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes until golden but soft inside.
  4. Arrange triple cream Brie in one corner of the board, fan out Manchego slices nearby, and pile Unexpected Cheddar in small piles.
  5. Fold or roll Iberico ham and soppressata into loose ribbons and place on opposite sides of the board.
  6. Tuck multigrain crackers around cheeses and meats, adding mini piles of toasted baguette slices.
  7. Spoon fig spread and whole grain mustard into small bowls or ramekins; add Castelvetrano olives in a small bowl.
  8. Scatter clusters of red grapes, dried apricots, almonds, and honey-roasted peanuts in open spaces to avoid crowding.
  9. Garnish with rosemary or thyme sprigs for aroma and color.
  10. Check for balance of colors, textures, and spacing; adjust as needed to look inviting and abundant without overcrowding.

Notes

Let cheeses sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving to enhance flavor. Keep wet fruits separate from crackers to avoid sogginess. Use small bowls for olives and spreads to keep board tidy. Presentation matters—spread items evenly with white space. Can substitute almond flour crackers for gluten-free option. Can swap fig spread for mango chutney for a tropical twist.
