A quick and easy creamy white chocolate fondue paired with fresh strawberries, perfect for Valentine’s Day, cozy date nights, or special occasions. This silky, rich dessert is a crowd-pleaser with a velvety texture and bright, fruity flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream (full-fat recommended)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (about 12 large strawberries), hulled and washed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 small lemon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional dippers: cubed pound cake, marshmallows, pretzels, banana slices

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries (about 2 cups or 12 large strawberries). Cut pound cake into bite-sized cubes and prepare any other dippers you want. Set aside.
  2. Pour 1 cup (240 ml) of heavy cream into a small saucepan. Warm over medium-low heat until hot and just starting to simmer around the edges, but do not boil.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and immediately add 8 ounces (225 g) of white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate. Let it sit for 1 minute to soften.
  4. Using a whisk or silicone spatula, stir the cream and chocolate together until smooth and glossy. If the chocolate isn’t fully melted, return the pan to very low heat for 10-15 seconds, stirring continuously. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
  5. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and the zest of 1 lemon. Taste and adjust if desired.
  6. Pour the warm fondue into a fondue pot or small serving bowl to keep warm. If using a fondue pot, light the tea candle or turn on the electric warmer.
  7. Arrange strawberries and dippers around the fondue. Serve immediately with fondue forks or toothpicks for dipping.

Notes

Use low and slow heat to melt white chocolate to avoid burning. If fondue thickens as it cools, gently rewarm in microwave for 10-15 seconds, stirring well. For dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and use dairy-free white chocolate. Lemon zest and a pinch of salt enhance flavor balance. Fondue can be kept warm in a fondue pot, slow cooker on warm, or low-temp oven.
